The “startup India” and “Make in India” campaign has given impetus to the startups and along with this, the various state government has created a support system to the development of startup ecosystem. Startups provides solutions to many problems through their innovative products or services, as well as creating an employment opportunity for the youths. The success of a startup depends on the mutual cooperation of the elements of the ecosystem. This study examines the startup scene in the Indian state of Rajasthan, highlighting the current situation of startups and the government's efforts to foster their growth. The results are based on secondary data collected from a public website. The study found that the Rajasthan’s startup ecosystem has all the driven forces like well-connected partner investors, well developed incubator centers, academic and institutional partners and other promotions schemes. Majority of the startups in Rajasthan fall under the category of IT sector, software, education, professional & commercial. They are situated and served in urban areas and the incubator centers are mostly situated in major cities. It was also founded from the study that the startup ecosystem in Rajasthan is still underdeveloped as villages are still backward in terms of technology and innovations. Rural people are still deprived of facilities like online trading and online shopping and state is unsophisticated in representation of women in startups. The study ends by providing various solutions to create employment opportunities for rural youth like rural population should be looked at as a future demand by the startups and local resources should be used as a solution to the problems of rural areas.
