In this work an attempt will be made to understand the origin and migration of the Ollo community in Arunachal Pradesh. Ollo is a lesser-known community inhabiting at Laju Circle in Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh. The Ollo community do not have written tradition. Therefore, this study will be ethno-historical in nature. They are originally migrated from Myanmar. They believed the migrated started from the place where the Sun raises; however, time and routes of migration is still remained obscure. Initially all of them they settled at Laju, the oldest and the parent village. From Laju they migrated to different new villages and settled. The study concludes that traditional oral sources in form of legends, myths, songs and stories are legitimate historical documents, offering a vital contribution to the ethnography account of the Ollo.
