This paper strives to highlight India’s key moves in strengthening India’s North Eastern states, as North East provides to be the gateway to South East Asia. India expansion towards its South East Asian states will also be measured by its economic growth, industrial development and strategic influence. A stronger Northeast will ensure more security and stability in countering any external threats. It will also ensure India’s smoother connectivity and bolster India’s ‘Neighborhood First Policy’
