Abstract

Poultry is the most organized sector in animal agricultural sector in world. In 2015-16 the broiler production has increased to 4.2 million tons per year. After China and the USA, India is the 3rd egg production country and 4th largest chicken production country in the world after China, Brazil and USA. Therefore, broiler research has a vital importance in present day. The published literature contains no reports of bibliometric or scientometric studies of broiler research. This research examines authorship trends and collaborative patterns within the field of Indian broiler research. Between 1989 and 2020, the Scopus and Web of Science databases produced 2344 publications from 4247 authors. Bibliometric analysis was the research method employed in this study. Multiple authorship was found to be the norm in the publications analyzed. The study saw a steady rise in research collaboration. The study of diverse research collaborations demonstrates remarkable collaborative contributions.
